Registrations for Best Start course closes at 2:00 p.m. the day prior to the course.
Best Start is an entry-level real estate business development program. Designed to be the final course taken for the pre-licensure program at Polley Associates, it is recommended this non-credit course be taken once an individual has their license issued; will have it issued soon; and/or has already passed the state licensing examination.
The first 90 days are critical for newcomers to real estate sales. They succeed in getting a license but lack basic knowledge of the real estate business or salesmanship, and become discouraged. On occasion, they leave the field before enjoying success.
Our Best Start seminar endeavors to ensure that won't happen to you. Best Start is geared toward those who have already completed at least one or both of their two sales license classes, or who have already passed the licensing exam and are ready to enter the business.
Unlike the Real Estate Fundamentals and Real Estate Practice courses - which supply information you need to obtain a real estate sales license in Pennsylvania - Best Start gives you information on how to get started and be successful in the business. Among topics covered at the instructor's discretion are:
The Internet's impact on the real estate business and how it affects you as an agent.
Why you need your own website to attract prospects and clients.
How to create a marketing strategy that sells your services as an agent.
How to choose the best marketing methods (including some that are free or cost only pennies per prospect).
How to manage your real estate business, including budgeting, insurance, tax, and retirement planning.
How brokers recruit, interview and choose salespeople, and how salespeople can choose brokers.
How to approach and work with mentors in a real estate office.
You'll need the Zoom client software. Click Here for the Zoom system requirements: https://support.zoom.us/hc/en-us/categories/200101697
You'll receive an invitation. Once you register and pay for your virtual courses or classes, you will separately receive a receipt for payment and e-mailed invitation for your session(s) from Polley.
The invitation will contain a link to the session itself in the form of a 9-or-more digit number called a Meeting ID. When you join a meeting, you are prompted to provide the Meeting ID. You'll also receive a pass code that you'll be asked to type in to authenticate your attendance.
Any printed student materials are included in registration costs and will be shipped to participants upon registration. Shipping and materials are non-refundable.
If you're not registered, you can't join.
Only registered learners, authenticated by Polley Associates, can join our virtual courses or classes. Learners are required to sign into using a Zoom account, and their e-mail addresses and registered name must appear on our approved list. Those entering a session will be temporarily held in a "waiting room" before a Polley representative grants them permission them to join.
