Polley Courses: ‘Property Inspection: Red Flags’

Spot Defects That Could Materially Affect A Sale

Strap on your hard hat. Pull on those heavy boots. Have your flashlight at the ready! It’s time to join the Polley Associates’ continuing education course, “Property Inspection: Red Flags,” as it digs deep into at major signs of distress in any property.

The red flags are warnings, totems, tell-tales; the clear indication that something’s amiss with a real estate parcel or its improvements. Spotting them has become increasingly important to sales persons and brokers, who continue to be held responsible for faithfully representing the condition of a property without concealing any known defects.

Some material defects can be remedied in only minutes at minimum cost. Others? Can’t! Participants in this course will see dozens of examples of red flags in properties to better understand their underlying problems. They’ll also learn more about the associated costs of repairs, so they (and their clients) can differentiate between an easy fix and a potentially expensive undertaking.
